The Credit Card Act of 2009 – Finally a Limit to Over-Limit Fees

The Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure Act, also known as the Credit Card Act of 2009, was signed into law last year. This new law makes significant changes to existing regulations for credit card companies regarding interest rate increases, monthly billing statements, over-limit fees, and payment due dates.
