Can kids get secured credit cards?
im wondering if kids can get Secured Credit Cards of there own. The UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) prohibits a Minor from entering into any contractual agreements including credit accounts. There are severe penalties for minors who use false or deceptive practices to obtain credit. A parent or guardian may add their child to an existing credit card account for use of the credit card by the minor.
